After a week of science projects, homework, teak won do, book reports, fashion shows, volunteering in the classrooms, birthday parties, heaps and heaps of laundry, scraped knees, sliver removals, sibling rivalry, play dates, spelling tests, and lots of hugs and kisses, my kids have come home with backpacks full of homemade Mother's Day presents.....I cannot wait until Sunday to see all the goodies made just for me.

I love it that they cannot wait to give me their creations. Before we even hit the car after school they are each pulling out a little gift wrapped in pretty pink tissue paper. The whole time each asking if I want to wait until Sunday or open it now.
I say I will wait until Mother's Day and with a bit of disappointment in their voices they carefully tuck the gifts back inside their backpacks.

Happy Mother's Day.
