I would have to say that yesterday we took some steps forward. Lila was in a pretty good mood most of the day. One time during grocery shopping she was sad and wanted me to hold her. I get sad too during grocery shopping, it's my least favorite of the shopping experiences.
At about 5:30-6:00 (right before dinner) she gets real clingy and says that she wants to go nite, nite. We have been having issues at dinner time. She cries and does not want to sit at the table to eat. We thought that it might be that she didn't want to have anything to do with Brandon. Since the melt down comes at about the time he comes home. To his relief, it's not him. She wants to go to bed. So, last night at about 5:00 I took her up to her room and laid her in her bed. She laid there singing and played until Brandon cane home and went in there to see her. He asked her if she wanted to eat and she let him get her out of bed for dinner. She sat at the table (on my lap) and ate. This was a huge step forward for us. The fact that she ate at the table, she let Brandon do something for her, and that I figured out that she just needs a little quite time before dinner.
I have noticed that she does not want to call me Mama, or say I love you to me. She will give me a kiss, and she will interact with me in a loving way, but I think that the Mama and the I love you are something that I'm going to have to earn. That's very understandable, I have some big shoes to fill. She loved her foster mom a lot. I can't thank her enough for the wonderful job she did caring for Lila until we were able to take over. All I can say is that I'm up for the task of earning the Mama, and I love you. BRING IT ON!!!!
The pictures are more of Sperbowl Sunday. I love the one of Taylor, Lila, Katie, and Kylie.
